Finding Joy

I find I’ve become a bit of a cynical romance writer and a bit of a Scrooge this year. Realizing it’s a skip and a jump away from the day the big guy swoops down the chimney to stash prezzies under the tree, I’ve decided it’s time to kick the doldrums to the curb and try to jump on the sleigh-ride for a couple of days.

Realistically, I’ll probably manage to just nudge the doldrums into the corner with the dustbunnies and maybe play soccer with them.

As for the cynical, I better get my shit together so I can start churning out sexy-times for my characters and get them to their HEA. They’ve been bitching at me for keeping them in limbo, saying it’s not fair that just ’cause dudes in Portland my age who share similar ideals are scarce on the ground – or just about anywhere (hysterical laughter), doesn’t mean they shouldn’t get their fun and happily ever after!

Anywhoooooo, for those of you who celebrate Christmas, I hope the doldrums, Scrooge and the Grinch are out-of-town. For those of you who celebrate other holidays at this time of year, I hope you’re well and as happy as you can be.

For those of you who don’t celebrate, hope you’re having a kick-ass weekend and that next week treats you right!
